Aimée has been an editor for over 15 years.
After studying filmmaking and film theory at Vassar
College, she made her base in New York City and has
been building her career ever since.
Her diverse work spans a variety of forms, from music
videos to documentaries, from thirty second promos to
feature length films. This keeps her storytelling skills
sharp, as one form often informs the other.
She began her career working at commercial post
houses, where she had the opportunity to work on ad
campaigns with directors such as Spike Lee, Tony Kaye,
and Errol Morris. This is also where she developed the
skill of telling a complex story in a minimum of time, and
learned to justify every frame, no matter what the
length of the project.
She has also edited many short films, as well as
television programming for MTV, Oxygen, Showtime,
A&E and Discovery Channel. Her recent work includes
the documentary Smile 'Til It Hurts: The Up With People
Story, which was featured at the Slamdance, Full Frame,
and DocuWeeks film festivals.
Aimée is originally from Texas.
